State Criminal Records

I'm always amazed to see how many criminal offenders live in my own small town. It doesn't really matter where you reside, there ARE criminals in your neck of the woods. That's just life. I constantly heard while growing up that crime was something that happened in big cities and urban environments. Criminal activity was nil in small towns. Ha, yeah right! By the time I hit my teen years, my father, who was in law enforcement, gave me the legit scoop. Crime happens everywhere. Just check your state criminal records online and you'll soon find out. If you honestly believe you can never be a victim of crime simply because you chose to live and/or raise a family in a small town, you're sadly misinformed. We're all potential victims of some sort of crime. The best we can do is stay informed and be aware of our surroundings.

We should all be grateful for today's technology. Our personal computers and Internet access have made it possible to keep up with what's going down where we live. Check state criminal records and find out who your neighbors are. This is no joking matter. Chances are you'll be shocked to learn that a registered sexual predator resides in your area or close by. I'd even bet that there is more than one within a ten mile radius. As sad or depressing as that sounds, it's reality nonetheless. There are just so many criminals roaming the world these days, it's virtually impossible to find an area with none. Well, unless you own a large portion of land, or dwell out in the middle of nowhere land like my eldest sibling does.

Whenever I relocate to a new state or city, I check the state criminal records with my laptop. This allows me to get the scoop on any and all registered sex offenders living nearby. Sure, there may be a few weirdoes out there who haven't been caught or punished yet, but this at least informs me of all who have. The state criminal records are especially important for those of us who have children and families to protect. As Mr. G.I. Joe said, knowing is half the battle. This is prudent advice that everyone should consider. Use your PC or Mac today and get in-the-know regarding state criminal records.
